What a great kitchen gadget! I was thrilled to have the chance to review this handy professional grade torch. All I had to do was fill it with butane. It is not included, but you can purchase it on Amazon or at any convenient store or supermarket. Probably less expensive from a local store than buying from Amazon. The torch is well made and appears that it should last a good while. Filling the torch with the butane is very easy. Just hold the torch upside down, there is a hole on the bottom. Use the tip of the butane can, push it in with a little force and hold for about ten seconds. After it is full wait a minute or so before you try to light it. Lighting it is very simple as well. There is a little red button for safety that has to be engaged first, then turn the knob to adjust the butane flow amount. Push the button to ignite the flame and you are good to go! So many uses in the kitchen... creme burlee to a flaming Dr. Pepper shot. I know I will be enjoying this torch for a while.
